Recital by Kevin Duggan, Organist of Dunblane Cathedral at Axbridge Church on Monday 6th July at 7.30pm
KEVIN DUGGAN - RECYCLE TOUR 2015
We are pleased to welcome Kevin Duggan, Organist of Dunblane Cathedral to Axbridge Church on Monday 6th July at 7.30pm. This is the first concert in his sponsored organ recital tour of Somerset by bicycle, with the proceeds being divided between Christian Aid and the National Churches Trust. The recital will last around one hour.
His tour includes:
St. John the Baptist, Axbridge - Monday 6th July at 7.30pm
St. Mary’s, Wedmore - Tuesday 7th July at 7.30pm
Holy Trinity, Street - Wednesday 8th July at 7.30pm
St. John the Evangelist, Taunton - Friday 10th July at 12.45pm
Forty years ago Kevin went on a sponsored cycle tour of East Anglia with a friend, raising money for Christian Aid and the National Churches Trust. Since then he has worked as a church musician in Great Britain, Norway and Denmark, and hasrecently been appointed Organist of Dunblane Cathedral. Therefore this time he will combine cycling with recitaling!
During the tour he plans to cycle a total of 100 miles. At the end of each concert the audience will be invited to make a donation to his chosen charities.
